The Center for MS Analytics is organized by the departments of Molecular Genetics and Molecular Biotechnology and Systems Biology at the TU-Kaiserslautern. It develops and applies state-of-the-art proteomics technologies to interrogate protein expression, modification and function in response to biological perturbation. The available technology includes advanced protein and ultra-high-pressure peptide separation, chemical and affinity-based enrichment techniques along with multiple mass spectrometry platforms, including Orbitrap and Tripple-TOF instruments. In collaboration with the department of Computational Systems Biology, the center provides customized desktop and web-based software tools for the analysis of proteomics data within the context of biological pathways and networks.
